I donât remember much about where I came from, but I watched from my kennel as people passed by, saying kind words to me. One day, a nice lady stopped and reassured me, saying, “Donât worry, pretty. Youâll find a good home!â I didnât know what that meant, but the next time I saw her, she said the same thing: “Hi, friend! I bet youâll get a great home.â

Hi, my name is Zuri! I am a rescue pup from Animal Care Services in San Antonio, Texas, and I have an incredible story

No painful arsenic based injections for Zuri. She did an alternative to the injections, to get rid of heartworms.
What Food does Zuri eat?
Whatever life Zuri had before her home now, it was apparent she would eat just about anything. This includes whatever bug, lizard or even bee she could and can catch, and I am afraid if Mr. Squirrel fell off the fence, wellâ¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦..
We currently use a home cooked blend of protein and vegetables mixed with a dehydrated food called Sundays. Please see the recipe below and the supplements page as well.
We use a Ninja Foodi for the main batch that makes 1 ½ to 2 weeksâ worth of food, and that way you know its fresh and even if you freeze some, which we do, it will be fresh frozen and thawed soon. Pressure cooking is one of the best ways to maintain most of the foods nutrients and thatâs what we do.
